Income Tax tribunal extends stay on Xiaomi India's Rs 10,833 crore tax demand

The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal has extended a significant tax demand stay. This stay now covers approximately ₹10,833.22 crore for Xiaomi Technology India. The tribunal granted this extension for a further 180 days. This period will last until the appeal is fully disposed of. Hearings for all pending Xiaomi India appeals are scheduled for September 21, 2026.
